NHL's new Tough Guy
The NHL has a new tough guy. 26 year old Steven MacIntyre was picked up off the Waiver Wire by the Edmonton Oilers. MacIntyre is 6 foot 5 and 260 pounds.
MacIntyre uses his long arms to keep his opponet at a far enough length in a fight that they can barely reach him! What a smart stragety!
MacIntyre prides himself in being a tough guy. He spends very little time on the ice but when he is on the ice his purpose is clear. Example: Jim Vandimeir of the Calgary Flames challenges Marc Pouliout of the Edmonton Oilers to a fight. Vandimeir starts absolutely pounding on Pouliout so Oilers Head coach Craig MacTavish sends MacIntyre out. MacIntyre has Vandimeir down on the ice, nose broken and bleeding, with a single punch
